Susan (Erling) Martinez is the author of many books, booklets, and magazine articles on the topics of loss and grief, alternative healing, self-protection, and spirituality.
Her books have been reviewed in Shape, Self, Playgirl, Star Tribune, St. Paul/Mpls Magazine, Body, Mind, Spirit, and many other publications.

Susan is a certified hypnotherapist, holds a black belt in karate, and was a pioneer in the field of assisting people who have experienced a childbearing loss. She is the mother of five grown children and two granddaughters, and resides in Edina, Minnesota with her husband, TJ Martinez.
Susan holds a black belt in karate and so does her daughter, Noelle Erling
and son, Jake Erling.
Her four year old granddaughter ,Sophia Keeley recently began studying the martial arts.
